OUR MISSION
The Builders Group was founded to provide a long-term, stable workers’ compensation insurance program for the construction industry of Minnesota at the lowest possible net cost to each member.

BUILT BY THE INDUSTRY
Residential and commercial contractors have unique needs when it comes to their business insurance. In order to meet those needs 52 members came together along with 4 sponsoring associations to form The Builders Group (TBG), a self-insured workers' compensation insurance program designed for the construction industry in Minnesota.

BUILT FOR THE INDUSTRY
This workers’ compensation program is geared specifically for all residential and commercial construction related businesses in Minnesota. This includes builders, remodelers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other businesses affiliated with the construction industry. 

As the largest self-insured workers’ compensation fund in the state, with over 1000 members and more than $39 million in annual premiums, TBG continues to meet the needs of the construction industry by focusing on strength, stability, and service to our members – keeping Minnesota money in Minnesota!

* Dividends are not guaranteed. Memebers are jointly and severally liable for their proportionate share of obligations for the group and will be assessed on an individual and proportinate basis for any deficit created by the group. TBG has never assessed its members since it's inception in 1997.
